    Actually they weren't polar opposites, both were collectivsts and believed in some form of socialism in their economics.

    Either way they both suck.

    Fascism is the tactic of supression, the correct term for the far right is Reactionary. since politics vary at the time in Europe being anti-communist made you reactionary. During that time in Germany everything ran behind a central party which controlled all means of production. Food was rationed and public works established. People chose the National Socialist (Nazi) party as a means to oppose the communists.

    Fascism is sometimes confused with "the corperate state". (quoted Mussolini) Which is still a collectivist ideal anyway.

    Facism could be found in any government left or right, it's mearly a tactic.

    Also, id like to point out that Hitler's party was stanching against capitalism.

    I think Hero was asking if there is a difference between Nazi clothes and communist clothes. Then again, I could be wrong.

    Nazi clothing is grey but comes in brown or black.

    <img src='http://www.replicaters.com/Nazi%20party%20uniform%20and%20breeches.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    <img src='http://www.ww2militaria.al.ru/panzerwrapss.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    <img src='http://www.ww2militaria.al.ru/blackssuniform.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    Communist Party Is usually surplus olive drab.

    Those are uniforms of different parts of the service, not civilian clothes.

    Anyway. The topic is easy to read up upon - traditionally you'd see intentionally bland clothing, and in most klischees in grey and/or olive. Although the only thing that has a relation to the communist ideology is the blandness.

    Since your movie is probably supposed to be funny, something extreme like an I >heart< Lenin T-Shirt or so would work.

    I see a lot of difference in the backstoryb between communism and fascism, but plenty of similarities. Both have only ever produced totalitarianism, death and torture. Both have been left on the ash heap of history by the West, spearheaded by the US. Almost makes me wish I was an American.... almost. Australia's got plenty to be proud of too! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    That's not the point. The <i>ideals</i> of Nazism and Communism are at opposite ends of the spectrum from each other. The outcome isn't really the question here.

    Both are collectivist and rely on one strong central party. Both demand that the econamy be ran by the government. Big Government kills all.

    Wear a russian army coat (yes they still look the same, I've got one)
    and one of those hats previously mentioned. Boots. Big boots.
    And Clean shaven all the way, and hair like stalins.

    Kind of what stalin looks like in all the WW2 footage.

    Alternatively, like lenin. For all you americans, Lenin was THE communist.

    So...just bring a big Soviet Russian flag and wave it around like crazy.

    I think that would get the point accross really well - as well as being funny. Or just break out the Fedora and Russian army coat. That'd probably work too. Just throw sickles and hammers everywhere. Everyone loves those.

    And Red. We can't forget red.

    Instead of the famous "Besser tot als rot" turn it around and go "Besser rot als tot".
    [better red than dead <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> ] On a big t-shirt. With a picture of Stalin/Lenin/Marx and hearts coming out of it like in a cartoon.

    Fedora with a red star wearing a Lenin suit waving around a flag would probably work the best. Flag would probably be the most expensive/hard to find unless you made it yourself.
