Ahahahahaahahaha. Oh god. You made my day.
LOL.
you can sort of mix drivers by getting the 4.9's for instance and open them in winrar/zip and extract the atioglxx.dl_ from one of the sub folders. And then open CMD from the start-> run and navigate to the folder where you placed the file. Use expand on it(e.g. expand atioglxx.dl_ atioglxx.dll) and it will be fully unpacked. To use this GL driver for a game you can usually place it in the main game folder as most games look there before they look in system32. You can replace the atioglxx.dll in the system32 folder if you want different D3D and openGL drivers as the default drivers.
(If you still have problems.
There have been some problems caused by the uninstaller not removing all files and registry entries, usually when changing from one card to another(not nescesarilly from one firm to another). I'd try getting a cleaner for the NV drivers and one for the ATi ones and then re-install the drivers.
<a href='http://www.driverheaven.net/cleaner/' target='_blank'>example</a>)
Nonetheless, something to do with your Doom 3 settings or customization. Most like self-shadowing or some misconfigured command.
Beats me though, my Doom 3 r teh b0rked.
Go download <a href='http://www.driverheaven.net/cleaner/' target='_blank'>DRIVERCLEANER</a>,
read the readme and do all the steps in it.(Do it for both ATI and NVIDIA) Then reinstall your ATI Drivers.
Should work.
