I've you've never seen Inuyasha or SamuraiX (as it's called in the US) and the Kenshin series it spawned, you prob won't understand the characters and won't get all of the laughs.
This one is pretty good fan fiction.

Inuyasha himself was never young. He was spawned at the age he is: And thus is the reason he will never age.

Er... no.
He was born from a human mother, and grew up as "normally" as a half-demon can. Some of the earlier episodes feature flashbacks.
That's 2:1

It's apparent who knows the series and who is just assuming. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> SoulSkorpion is da winnar!
Anyways Inuyasha is a hanyou.
Actually his name is litterally "dog-demon" in Japanese. Inu = dog, yasha = demon
Btw, while some people say Samurai X (the movie explaining Kenshin's past before the series) is a slow movie I think it's awesome. A powerful emotional plot piece combined with some of the best drawn anime. Even the graphically violent scenes with blood flying everywhere are beautiful.
