Mappers Wanted! The More Screws Loose The Better!

<div class="IPBDescription">Crabby needs you!</div> Ok, needless to say I am THE worst mapper on the face of the earth (I cant even make a Killbox clone!) But, at points i do have good ideas. And one of them is my current project: the working title is NS_PuddleJumper. The basic setup is simple: take three totally diffrent mappers, all their strengths, weaknesses, and skills, and distill the greatness into a map. Really, it's 4 minimaps: a series of small warpgates connecting together a spartan Marine Spawn and three huge sections, completely independant from another with the exception of the gates. So far, i have aonomous on board for the gargantuan task of connection everything together, but i still need a few, good, mappers!
I know the above was badly written, barely coherent, and possibly the most idiotic thing written on the boards, but the fact still remains: Anyone intrested in making a map of... interesting proportions? If so, here's the basic guidelines:
- 1 <!--emo&::hive::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/hive5.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='hive5.gif' /><!--endemo--> per big section
- 4 Resnodes per section
- and an area set aside for the gate
- Size: About 1/3 the size of a normal NS_map, or a good sized CO_ map
and the rest is entirely yours to play with.

Have you been playing the Stargate SG-1 map too much lately?
I'd consider joining in, but I don't have much mapping time these days. And what time I do have is being spent trying to improve my own crappy map. Still, if there's absolutely no-one else (and I really mean no-one, due to my time constraints), I'll see what I can do.

You are never a level-designer 'in-training'. Age and experience can count for alot or a little, but everyone learns something when they're designing for any mod or game for any period of time. Just think as you're not as good as someone else, not in training.

The stargate looks funny. Is that the same one from Stargate SG1 on TV?
