<div class="IPBDescription">well..</div> Ive been having problems with my CD burner lately. Its a ExacLink CyberDrv CW038D.
When I insert an empty CD, it just wont find it. When I Press "burn" in Neo it tells me to insert and empty medium, same does winwow's xp's built in cd burner.
I googles on CW038D and got some updated drivers, but it still isnt working.
Its having problems to read CDs too, but it works most of the time.

And please dont tell me to format, since I cant do that without my a CD-reader :/

Has anyone experienced similar problems?

Might want to see if you can remove the drive from the hardware manager, then have windows add it back. If that doesn't work the only thing else I can recommend is get a $30 DVD CD RW from Lite On.
