Nstr2 race

<div class="IPBDescription">How shall u drive :/</div>im going to make a map for that RR race today (and night)
but i want to know:

1. how shall they 'race' on foot or in vehicles?

2. if they shall race in vehicles, how to implment ? func_vehicle ?

3. there arent any good race textures in ns.wad...

    Since the running animation for the marine looks so goofy (they look like Russian Dancers) all the races are on foot, so they are basically obstacle-course style races. In other words, we're not using any vehicles or anything like that. As for textures, you're probably right, but I have seen some people use custom made textures to give it a more "sporty" feel.

    that race is unfair totally then !

    u see, bunnyhopping does seem to work in nstr2, giving some ppl a severe advantege... unless the rules say 'no bunnyhopping or u get disqualified'

    Hopefully they outlaw it in the Flaytona 500.....then again they seem to be encouraging every kind of dirty trick you can imagine.

    not in the map i created... speed is not of the essence in there. in that sample map race2 u got there, its not important eather... unless you wanted to bunnyhop hanging upside down on the roof of a ceiling......
    and all things are allowed in this wacky racing... if there is a bug in the map or something, its all just something u have to cope with <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

    Yeah there are alot of "features" in Merk's plant_run map....i.e. if you walk over certain parts of the floor you fall through and get stuck <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

    It would be fun to have vehicles, except they dont seem to work in the NSTR2. sure would be a lot easier to get around my map if I had my unicycle :-D

    I remember creating an invisible vehicle in CS.....it was so fun to go flying around like some kind of floating freak, but the car was hard as hell to get into seeing as it was invisible <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->
