And thats why I play eve, almost a full team of devs still. User ran suppoer (hand picked by the devs). And constant updates with new items ships skills and systems (worlds). And best of all its built around pvp but theres zones were pvp is harder then other (ex: its 1.0 to 0.0 1.0 is loaded full of npc "cops" that will own you fast and hard if you attack a player. Then theres the 0.0 area were its basicly kill or be killed with npc players and human both fighting)

The game is fun only when you are with others, and interacting with them. Just like all other MMORPGs, its not fun to solo at all, and the best fun is had when your playing with friends and the slightest hint of roleplay. The combat is pretty cool, there are plenty, and I mean plenty of skills that vary your attacks to learn, so you usually dont sit back and watch, but more are up front, clicking, and to impress others, jumping over and slashing the enemy in the face while doing a three sixty in the air (Guilty as CHARGED, officer! ). I also enjoy making deals with PC merchants, haggling down their prices. I traded thirteen pieces of linen cloth for a whopping fourty muffins today, I'm such a saavy shopper.
One thing I'm really looking foward to doing is getting a steed then flying over the great sea and into the maelstorm. That should be very intresting. Yes, It's crap, the framrate of the video really sucks... So uh... Yea, I'll make abetter video later, this one is about 50 megs, 640x480 and about 2 minutes long.
I've seen people moaning about it on the servers but honestly, I've found it to be excellent.
I'm playing from Australia and the server pings are, on average, 1500 for me. That may sound bad but it's truly awesome. I only get a slight teleporting effect from other players, no discernable hangs, and I can still interact with the environment fluidly.
I must say, for my first MMORPG I'm having an absolute ball, the only thing that keeps me from enjoying myself fully is the constant downtime on the servers but I dont mind this so much as this is a stress test after all.
A thought struck me though. When this gets released, will the be a Transformers themed mod for it? Or will someone simply make a full blown MMO game for Transformers. I'd definetely fork out money for that puppy
{EDIT}
In further relation to lag, I went into a server about 2 hours ago when most of them were shut up. There were about 200 - 400 players in the same region at the same time and it still held up very well. Blizzard certainly know their stuff. Load times are excellent for me as well by the way

anyone got any ideas when the servers will be up again?
They said they were going to be back up in 20 minutes but it's been 5 times that time already so...
They said they'd keep us posted Here So keep an eye on there and just try to keep yourself busy I guess. Must be something major.
That said, if you're running out of BW, chuck it into a torrent, and i'll help seed
Nice screenies so far. Got anything that properly reflects the game as you play it? Fighting, etc?
i just read on the forums that alot of the graphical bits are "disabled" in the stress test clients i have no idea why blizzard would do this when they were active in the closed beta.. (this includes swaying grass , reflective water , etc...)

Nonetheless, nice screenies indeed. The best thing is that it doesn't take forever to load maps XD
It's difficult to tell whats happening while fighting just by a screen so I'll elaborate on it.
Essentially you select what you want to attack by right clicking. You then close in on it and you start doing your standard attack automatically. You can channel spells by pressing the "Weapon Slot Number" that activates that ability or by using the interface and clicking the friend/foe to use the buff/attack on.
Magical units, such as Priests, use mana for spells. This is fairly straightforward.
Warrior classes use rage, which is somewhat different. As you attack creatures or enemies your rage meter increases, allowing you to perform special moves that deal bonus damage.
Combat is thus surprisingly easy and very very noob friendly, whilst also being entertaining and allowing skilled players to vary their combat style, keeping it fresh.
So far I havent gotten past the "Do this, collect that" missions due to downtime but as I said if this is the start then I'm having fun fun fun.
Also, has anyone found a way to get to Outland? I've seen texture references in the files and it would be awesome if I could take a look at it.
