Nooblet Needs Help

ok i played ns at my friends house and i love it! and i recently downloaded steam and installed it. i purchased the "Condition Zero" game pack which has cs and stuff. then i played that and i remembered NS so i dled that and i tried playing it but it doesnt work! the Steam: Browse Games Menu pops up every time i select a NS server and try to join!
i read the instructions and it says to play HL at least once before i install NS but i couldnt find the Half life original MOD.
on my play games list it has under my games...
-condition zero.
-counter-strike
-codename gordon
-source dedicated server
-counter-strike: Source BEta
-condition zero Deleted scenes
and -dedicated server.
NOWHERE does it say half life or coudl i find it once i ran the cs mods.
PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE help!

ps i saw momowew or sumthings post on the forums and it didnt really help me b/c the forums were moved....

You have to buy acopy of HALF-Life, CZ does not work with NS or any other mods. and HL is not a MOD, Counter strike is.
