<div class="IPBDescription">Sonic Artillary Device Mk. I</div> Well, here is my wip for my very first shot at NS modeling. It is a possible replacement for the seige cannon, whipped up in about an hour and a half (bathroom breaks and staring at the screen like an idiot included.)
Constructive C&C is very, very welcome. (._. I know it looks pretty bland, im working on thinking of new things to kind of *spice* it up.)

that said i actually like it alot, it's kinda cool looking, different, and i'd like to see what it looks like finished
only thing i would change is removing the hollow barrel, and making it flat on the end
The nozzle is interesting, but maybe the outside edges on the little teeth on the end could be squeezed to be more conical, so it seems more focused.
The base sure looks <i>solid</i>.
hehe finnaly some one noticed <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
nice one Perd <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I like it!
In fact, I planned on searching out a few tutorials for wires/tubes later today, and slapping a few on here and there.
As for the base, I figured it would have to be very large and very solid looking, seeing as the seige cannon is hovering above it. (One thing I didnt think about though, when it fires, launching off of its platform and killing the rine behind it.)
ps i would definantly use
Done in Blender, yes I know...i'm a real freeware ****.
looks good though, and the renders not that bad <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Ive yet to update with the most recent one, outfitted with an uber-1337 wire. <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif' /><!--endemo-->
And maybe something on the rear of the gun, as it is just a flat surface.
and i think the wire should go into the rear cylinder, doesnt look right going into the middle of the barrel
good.
i dont mind blender i dont, i used it before, i like it's lighting, particles and flares it renders, they're real nice. you can get some realistic effects. but it doesnt render objects too well :\ oh well. My main beef is you cant do **** with a .blend file, nor export to anything else (the .whatever it exports to is blank in anything you try to import it into, except blender itself). Oh well.
(cinema 4d trial for free rendering)
How about using an attachment similar to that one for that model?
