<div class="IPBDescription">...And I need a New Video Card</div> Yes, my birthday is coming up, the perfect day to get a kickass video card and throw this trash in the closet. I need to know which card is best for it's price. Now, I've heard from 9800 to x800, and 6800 gc gainward (?). All you hardware gurus please post your thoughts.

If money is no object, than get the Radeon X800 XT Platinum Edition.

Go for it. Get the X800 XT. That way, you can brag to all of your friends that your vido card owns theirs.

What I meant was the only sites/stores that actually have them in stock cost like 800 bucks, other wise you have to check sites every hour on the hour to see if a new shipment has come in then be the first to get it.

Get the eVGA 6800 GT. At newegg, right under 400 bucks.

16 pipelines like the Ultra, and you can clock to Ultra speeds.

Why is the X800 better than the 6800 or why is the 6800 better than the X800? Also, can the 6800 run on my ASUS motherboard?

As long as you have agp 8X (to get full use out of your card) then yes.

Well I've got a question that pertains to this and could help him out, why shouldn't he just get the x800 pro? Is it bad or is the 6800 ultra better?
