Can't Play Hltrainingroom,hl,create Ns Listenserve

The other night I was playing ns just fine game servers etc.
I created a server in the menu a listenserver/langame picked a map started playing no probs.
Then I install ns v3.0b5 start a listenserver game/lan and when I pickedup a shotgun/hmg/nadelauncher game crashed,it just stopped.
I did a complete reinstall of steam ,reinstalled ns v3.0b5 and joined servers with no probs,but I still can't create a server or listenserver/langame.It won't do anything.
I can't even play Halflife itsself anymore the trainingroom etc.
and when I reinstalled steam and ns I looked in the ns folder and it's like missing 6 or 7 files.
Any suggestions from anyone will be greatly appreciated on how to fix this.
DO ya's think I might have to do a complete reinstallation of halflife itsself?
where I have to put the CD Key in.?delete it from registry?
Anyone else having this problem?

Please help if anyone can,I am in DIRE need of serious help
I even went back to ns v3.0b4a and I still can't create a server/listenserver/langame.
Can anyone tell me of any possibilties of what I maybe doing wrong or what I have done?
Something tells me I may have to resort to drastic measures of reinstall halflife alltogether and steam and ns steam etc.
