Thx ima try that, cause like i downloaded this game yesterday within the first 30 mins of release and cause of my badgrades, my mom takes my Cable Modem away that night... suxx. Thats why i just want to play it offline. Kinda get use to it.

Ok that didn't work. Maybe im asking this wrong. I already know how to create a LAN game and get in a map and run around and stuff all offline by myself. But what i want to do is join like Marine and be able to build cause i cant build nothing unless each side has a player. Is it possible?

Mess around with the server variables, you'll be able to evantually.

It is a team precaution I believe, so one person doesn't get in, build a bunch of crap, and then the other team gets in at a big disadvantage. Trust me, it does happen, there are usually mad rushers for the marines, and then there are 8 or so and like no aliens, so finally, some people mosy to aliens. It is just a small precaution.

... That wasn't the question. The question is "Is it possible to play on LAN, offline, with nobody else in the game but yourself, and be able to build?" guys guys guys, he means to actually get the game STARTED, not just load the map.

first, enable cheats, then use "startgame" i think is the right command. but i'm not 100% sure. i hope that's it. try it and see. if not i'll research the correct command.
