Siege Cannon Sprite

<div class="IPBDescription">help me out</div> I made a sprite for the siege cannon muzzle flash...what do I name the file? I searched my NS sprites folder and all the muzzleflash sprites look the exact same and are named muzzleflash1, muzzleflash2 and muzzleflash3...if anyone knows please tell me.

I went to load my sprites into sprite wizard and it told me they had to be 256 colors. . .how do I change a bitmap so that it is 256 colors?

you could save it as a gif, and then open it and save it as bmp. But you'd lose quality. If you have photoshop, go to Image->Mode->Indexed Colour. Force it To use 255 colours, then go to Image->Mode->Colour Table, and add in your transperency colour.
