Quitting Problems

I am having a problem quitting on the latest beta. I have installed it on two different computers, and they both do the same thing. What happens is the client won't quit sometimes, and I've tried a couple of different ways to it, typing quit in the console, quitting the proper way, and whatnot with different results. After playing a game for a while and trying to quit, straight after that I joined a game and quit and it actually quit. If there is some other reason for this other than b5 being buggy, please tell me. Thanks

    A few questions for you:

    1) Did this ever occur in previous betas?
    2) Can you successfully quit from other Steam games after playing for awhile? CS, for instance.
    3) When you try to quit, what happens? Does the game freeze? Does the music start looping? Does the screen go black?

This is something that seems to happen with all mods and hl.exe simply hangs when you try to quit from the game. Something to do with the settings on the PC, but I haven't quite gotten to pinpointing exactly what is causing the problem.

It is only Natural Selection which this happens to. What happens is when you quit, it has only the background showing. No buttons are available and console is not accessible. It doesn't close unless you go into task manager and kill it yourself. Also remember that this has happened on two individual computers, but with same hardware. I shall be installing it on computers that have different hardware configurations to see if it happens to those. Current computer hardware: P4 2.6Ghz w/HT, 1024mb RAM (2 x 512), Radeon 9600, 40gb WD w/8mb cache (pc1) & 80gb WD SATA HDD (pc2). Thats about it.

Whenever something really freaky happens, you should try reinstalling NS, possibly even redownloading and reinstalling. Or you could make good use of the md5 checksum, but don't worry about it if you don't know what I'm talking about.
