<a href='http://www.perpetual.com/pages/news.html#StarTrek' target='_blank'>PERPETUAL ENTERTAINMENT TO DEVELOP AND PUBLISH STAR TREK® MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE GAME</a> as they so elegantly put it in all caps.

Elite Force aside, gaming hasn't been to kind to the Star Trek liscenses, so I don't expect much from this one. Oh well, at least Matrix Online and Neocron will have more competition for "Worst MMO Ever". :P

Depends which Star Trek you're on.

Original: Don't wear red or blue.
Next Gen: Don't wear yellow.
Others: Be a main character or prepare to die from some messed up, unplausible monster so fearsome it makes you laugh to death.

I agree, Star Trek games are famous for, well, sucking. There are only a few that break this rule - Elite Force 1/2 (1's better), and Armada 1. Hopefully this game will be good.

Remember also that making 'strong' female characters means you'll either have some sort of sordid romance that can never really go anywhere or you'll end up dying to some monster that looks like a guy standing in a puddle of tar... then you'll come back in the next expansion as a romulan =P
