    We can't possible have 17000+ birthday threads each year (for every member)... and besides, most of the time, the birthday greeters are random people, who often don't even know you. Get a real party if you want to be congratulated! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I didn't get one, but that was mainly because I didn't realise until the day *afterwards* that I hadn't actually entered my birthday into my profile. Nevertheless, I expected a post from the psychics on this board.

    Bah, I'm eating here! <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    [Besides, I stick with the dirt cake on my birthday, unless it's above 100 degrees, then icecream cake is the way to go <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> ]

    I thought the meaning of life was 3...not 42. And, can't forget golden birthdays too...they're considered lucky and important (at least around here)...that would be the year when you're as old as the day of your birth, so April 12 = 12 years old, May 28th = 28 years old).

    ...Apparently, I'm the only one on these boards who knows about them, you crazy, crazy people <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> .

    Which would be where, exactly? I've never heard of Golden Birthdays but I like the idea.

    After thousands of years' processing, 42 is the meaning of life according to <i>Deep Thought</i>, the computer built and designed to answer such a question, in <i>A Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy</i> by Douglas Adams.

    Keep it to PMs or One single Sticky thread. That's what I say. Why take up multiple threads...

    Having a forum dedicated to Hardware questions (such as Which graphics card should I buy?) would be another way to get rid of spam.

    Lighten up everyone. Surely you don't all rate yourselves on how quick people post a Happy Birthday thread on internet forums, surely you dont begrudge people wishing others a happy birthday, and surely our time would be better spent getting naked, drunk, and falling off waterfalls. Whos with me?!

    3 cheers for falling off waterfalls!

    I like birthday threads, I know mine made ME feel special last year... so if you want to get rid of them, wait til after you make mine on the 16th ;P

    Just as simple to PM as they will recieve the you have 1 new message, instead of just quick browsing thru and missing it.

    I got a birthday thread, I am e-cooler than you now! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Actually, I'm sure it had something to do with the fact that I've been banned twice from these forums, I'm sure that had something to do with at least the mods remembering... then you have all of the ns clanners who know me, then you have my clan, then you have all of these dudes in the off-topic section who know me (few, actually), then you have the general section dudes, then you have the ...

    In other words Them, chances are if you don't get a happy birthday thread you aren't known by enough people. Every person that knows you increases your chances of a birthday thread.

    It's also kinda down to luck... I don't check the forums every day and sometimes I'm really not in the mood for posting so there's some threads I probably would've joined in and haven't. Generally I find it a nice surprise when people remember my birthday, I don't really make a big deal of it but it's nice to know people are thinking of you.

    If you didn't get one then we're sorry... we still love you though =D
    ~huggles who~

    I guess now is the best time and place to wish anyone a happy b-day that I know and didn't put a reply in their thread for =3

    I know Them for his hosting of the NS celebrity Jeopardy thing I made (God know where it is now <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> ) and his crazy sock pupper, and some other stuff.

    These days you live over double that (at least in Western Society), so I don't see the point in celebrating every year of 'survival'. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
    Why? At younger years, you get presents. In the middle years, it's an excuse to get hammered. In old age, it's an excuse to see your family again. There's nothing lost by having a birthday. It's always nice to invite people you know over and kick back. Birthday threads are just for fun. I mean, it's not like every 2nd topic is a birthday thread. Not all that much of a problem, really.
