We can't possible have 17000+ birthday threads each year (for every member)... and besides, most of the time, the birthday greeters are random people, who often don't even know you. Get a real party if you want to be congratulated!

I didn't get one, but that was mainly because I didn't realise until the day *afterwards* that I hadn't actually entered my birthday into my profile. Nevertheless, I expected a post from the psychics on this board.

I thought the meaning of life was 3...not 42. And, can't forget golden birthdays too...they're considered lucky and important (at least around here)...that would be the year when you're as old as the day of your birth, so April 12 = 12 years old, May 28th = 28 years old).
...Apparently, I'm the only one on these boards who knows about them, you crazy, crazy people .

After thousands of years' processing, 42 is the meaning of life according to Deep Thought, the computer built and designed to answer such a question, in A Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams.

Having a forum dedicated to Hardware questions (such as Which graphics card should I buy?) would be another way to get rid of spam.
Lighten up everyone. Surely you don't all rate yourselves on how quick people post a Happy Birthday thread on internet forums, surely you dont begrudge people wishing others a happy birthday, and surely our time would be better spent getting naked, drunk, and falling off waterfalls. Whos with me?!
I got a birthday thread, I am e-cooler than you now!
Actually, I'm sure it had something to do with the fact that I've been banned twice from these forums, I'm sure that had something to do with at least the mods remembering... then you have all of the ns clanners who know me, then you have my clan, then you have all of these dudes in the off-topic section who know me (few, actually), then you have the general section dudes, then you have the ...
In other words Them, chances are if you don't get a happy birthday thread you aren't known by enough people. Every person that knows you increases your chances of a birthday thread.
It's also kinda down to luck... I don't check the forums every day and sometimes I'm really not in the mood for posting so there's some threads I probably would've joined in and haven't. Generally I find it a nice surprise when people remember my birthday, I don't really make a big deal of it but it's nice to know people are thinking of you.
If you didn't get one then we're sorry... we still love you though =D ~huggles who~
I guess now is the best time and place to wish anyone a happy b-day that I know and didn't put a reply in their thread for =3
