<div class="IPBDescription">Impetus for thread: the hive sound</div> I think i found one of the elements in the hive sound being used in a space ghost episode - specifically, episode 23 ($20.01) from season 3, starting about half a minute in. I'm sure we've all noticed sounds or components of sounds being used multiple times in unrelated circumstances (the most famous being that 'Wilhelm' scream or whatever it is that is now added as a sort of inside joke to movies) - share some you've heard!

Sorry if this topic is too specific and pointless, but I thought the hive sound thing was kind of funny/interesting.

Ugh anyone who has ever played SimCity3-4 and has built a police station has probably heard the generic police radio jargon that building makes. Well I hear that all time on different commercials and other places...strange they've picked up on that sound.

i hear that everywhere... it was in spiderman cartoon maker ages ago.

Yes, I recall hearing that everywhere, including the cartoon maker. I also had the green goblin kidnap MJ and blow up a lab. The trick was I just kept spamming the explosion icon in the same place, and it looked all 3D-like. Good times.
