<div class="IPBDescription">Character Rigging in Softimage?</div> I'm currently learning Softimage|XSI for Half-Life 2
and will hopefully do a model or two for Zombie Panic
(See: Jimmeh + Caboose)
should it be ported over to Half-Life 2.
I've done a basic model outline with the aid of a tutorial
( <a href='http://homepage.ntlworld.com/pete.taylor2/images/xsi-05.jpg' target='_blank'>Screenshot here- nothing special - lots to do yet</a> )
But i'm in dire need of a beginners tutorial for rigging
the character. No rigging = no animation <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Can anyone help? Most of the tutorials i've found so far
have information missing/are aimed at advanced users/
contains someone mumbling over their
mic and I can't understand what they're saying.
Can anyone help?

Search fileplant for the Valve made XSI tutorials released ages ago.

I already have those, they're not tutorials, they're
videos about the features Softimage|XSI contains.
I've checked all of the .pdf tutorials on the official
softimage site and check their forums regularly.

Enquire in their forums then? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I asked here because there's a much larger amount of users
and browsers. I didn't want to ask in the "Customisation"
forums because this isn't directly related to Natural-Selection
modeling etc.
I also have a post on the Zombie Panic forums.
I think this reflects nicely how eager I am to learn the program.

I think if you pointed out about general customization it would probably be allowed as it would fit well <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
