Oh well. Not like I could play the damn thing anyways, and now it's eating at my VRAM.

And dude, nanites totally pwn your shuriken as the ultimate answer to a question. I told someone in my bio class (a retarded idiot who I hate) that the bulk of the answers on the homework were "nanites." Oh my god! You're right! Nanites are the answer to biology. Ohhh I can forsee lots of fun at the expense of others (always the best kind of fun). <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->

Cyrillic G is Г (get, going, guano).
Ж is the equivalent of Zh, except when it's Дж-, then it's trying to make a J sound like Jim or Jeans (...it's still pretty much pronounce dzh...it just sortof sounds like a J). Plus it's the most fun to write freehand...it rocks. Whoever thought writing a letter could be fun?

...As stated in the pre-load 2 thread, I download it so that when I buy the HL2 box, I don't have to put the CD in the drive and have it go: weeeeeeeeeeeeooooooooqq*snap*, since my drive sucks so much.

The first two seemed to be about the same size though, and this one was quite a bit smaller. I think they're doing it based on size, so I think they could just squeeze any sprites or code or leftovers into only 1 or 2 more preloads if they're the size of the first one.

...Over here at the excitement that is my college, I get a 100kilobytes/s download from speed (...thanks 'T1' connection that we're forced to buy if we want internet in the dorms, which is basically the equivalent of nicely working dial up with its 400+ pings and slow download speeds).

Unlikely, I can't see how .bsps could be bigger than a mass of textures/sounds/models, epecially considering that the number of maps will typically be small in comparision to the hundreds of .tgas and .wavs.

It's amazing... This topic went from being about the HL2 Preload to what various symbols mean. Although it's gone off-topic it deserves to stay open because people are actually having a vaugly intelligent conversation
