<div class="IPBDescription">Problems Im having on my new system</div> I just put together a new computer recently and Im having problems when I play NS. First of all my sound has a lot of distortion in it. This is a problem I only have when playing NS. My friend tells me its because I have an onboard graphics card or something, Im not sure. The second, and more important, thing is that Im only getting about 40 fps. There is no way I should be getting that on my rig. Also, yes I already set the fps max to 100. Here are the stats on my computer:
OS: Windows 2000
Mother Board: ABIT NF7-S2 (not 2.0)
Processor: AMD Athlon XP 3000 w/333 MHZ FSB (running about 2.1 MHZ)
Memory: 2 512MB DDR PC3200 Ram sticks (1 gig)
Vid Card: ATI Radeon X 800 Pro (Vision Tech)
If anyone has any sugestions I will gladly appreciate it. Also, I AM getting the same amount of fps on other Half life games. Maybe I need a patch or something?
I know it should run better because Im running Doom3 on this thing no problem. Please help.
