Weird... when faced with a long corridor, i always imagine myself fade-blink-hopping down it...

Dude, have you played Half Life too long or something?!

bhop exists only in Half Life...

you can change your "maximum speed" in real life by just going harder...

I find wall strafing down corridors far more satisfying myself.

Though I do go through jackets like... stuff you use up quickly.

    Pff.

    Bhop exists.

The ancient chinese Shaolin monks practiced it after studying the wild chinese battle-bunny. This has later been adopted into western culture in computergames, and I wouldn't be so surprised if it'd show up in a movie any time soon.

I constantly drift while walking in real life. I'll set up the approach, down-shift, and use my superior heel-toe technique to drift down stairs and around corners. Oh, this is also accompanied by engine and turbo sounds, of course with screeching tires.

    What??

I've circle strafed some people in real life before, just to annoy them. It's funny, but people start acting the same way they do when they are cornered as when you are circle strafing them. They just don't know wth to do. It also works great for me in Ultimate Frisbee because if I keep my concentration, no matter where I am around the person I can slap the frisbee out of the air. They hate it.

That and trolling in real life is something I've done on occasion, but until now I didn't really realize that it is the exact same thing as trolling online. Of course I only do it under certain circumstances, not with people I plan on being around a lot as well. But before Ottodestruct mentioned it, I never really thought to count it as trolling. Same with flaming, because if you have an argument, a serious debate on a serious topic, between some people and you jump into it unannounced and flame everyone while unloading your own wealth of information because you happen to be over prepared, well that is flaming isn't it?

Haha. We tried this in a race at a recent LAN party. Seeing as the hall was long, we designated 200m as a long race track for bunnyhopping races. Was fricking funny, but their legs were sore in the morning.

Strafing is my daily routine in buses I take to get to school. When they get full, they GET full.

But strafing isn't special anyway. I did bunnyhop but I hurt my legs in the process. It is possible, but you might :
    - Injure your leg
    - Fall on your face

Almost fell on my face once....

It doesn't work in real life for the simple reason that, there's no way to accelerate while you're in the air, and there is air resistance.

Any percieved change in speed is either a placebo effect, or simply the brilliant observation that leaping forward as fast as you can is faster than walking
