Where's the blood?

in NS General Discussion
I was playing today and I seen a Marine infront of me killed by a Onos, to my surprise I did not see one spat of blood. Is there a way for me to add blood to the game? Personally I'd like to see crap like that, after all these are aliens and they are tearing us to ribbons.

    Interesting, I did not even notice the absence of blood. A little bit of gore would be nice, but it doesent matter to me.

    It was the designers explicit design choice to not have any gore in this game as is so common in every other game with guns.  I really don't notice the difference myself.  Hell, if keeps the lag down, that's always a bonus.

    There is no blood, nor is there a way to enable it.  I think they simply didn't want an extremely violent game. No complaints here, I had forgotten about the lack of blood and didn't even remember it until today when I was trying to determine if I was hurting a marine or just jumping around like a moron.

    Before this turns into a heated discussion, the issure is settled.  There is no marine blood in NS, nor will there ever be marine blood in NS.  No amount of talking about it now will change anything.
