a flame·like flare sprite
credits go to ID Software for the creation of this one-

enjoi.

edit: removed slight animation from sprite as i was unaware NS doesn't let you animate the resource flares...oh well, DL again if you want. doesnt really make a difference, as it chooses only one frame of the sprite and uses it anyway.

hey...i think you're right, heh. if anyone's interested in seeing what that would look like, rename the flare3.spr file to blink2.spr...however, i think the jp sprite is actually animated to fade out, unlike the resource flares that NS fades out automatically. it might take it bit of photoshopping to make it appear correctly. i'll look into it-

edit: well, the default jp sprite is animated, but not to fade out, so technically this would work. however, ill probably work on animating one for the jp specifically some time down the line.

yeah, since NS lets me animate it, ill probably try to get it to pulse a little or something. i've already got a version of the red one that rotates that im trying out right now...

the jp sprite isnt animated to fade out, the game fades it out automagically. the animation just changes it a bit.

gl on the animations this could look awesome

although, with the JP sprite, it sort of does appear to be fading out doesn't it?
the animations move up the sprite and i think it's to give the impression of fading as the JPer 'moves along'.

Love to see you put one of these together for the JP, i'm trying my hand at it now, but my animation abilities (i don't really want to be drawing the same texture in diff positions) are severely lacking.
