I only had time to get a quick recording of it, it's very poor quality, and has miscellanious trillian/etc sound effects, but you should be able to pick up the music.

Does anyone know where it came from?

Sounds like the intro of some flashy anime/cartoon. But I don't know what it is.

The Incredible Machine made a lot of interesting cool songs that go along while you solve the puzzles. In the recent versions, the songs were mp3 types and had a whole spread of sounds to them (jazz, country, rock) and they were all equally awesome to listen to.

Well there is usually one or two related to a "wacky" machine as far as the music goes. I haven't heard of that one, but it sounds very much like something incredible machine would do.
