Pushing the ruined shelter door easily aside as it gave an unnerving <i>creeeeak</i> Lamdeer quickly backstepped professionally in case something hid before the door for him.
Nothing did.
Although minorly relieved Lamdeer knew however, when an enemy wasn't in your face they were hiding or watching in quiet contemplation of your demise. Gorges alone shouldn't be running around a ruined power station. . . or did they?
Shaking his head as a soldier's worse enemy is thinking when the situation was as crystal clear as it was: Cleanse the facility or destroy it, thus purging it of the xeno form presence.
With this new determindation Lamdeer peeked out of the doorway both ways, discovering a dulling hallway scathed with charred marks of....merely hour old explosions? Lamdeer knew his AI was pondering something due to it's unnaturally fast hum sound.
Lamdeer did never like that sound as these marks were most likely caused by a crimson stain at the far right which led deeper into the control area of the power station, how the crimson remained and the body was gone only one solution was thought of: The digestion of the so said carcass or any unnatural deconstruction of organic body parts.
<i>Clug clug clug</i>, gorge feet plodded about him and one gave an annoying "<i>Hur hur hur hur</i>." His suit re-acting for him swirled his shocked body at the sound's direction which was to a small ledge on the corridor's way, most likely put there for a shelf.
Lamdeer saw nothing at first, then he switched to a vision that allowed extremely sensitive sight of bacteria shedding that constantly came off Khaara much like skin flakes of humans, that was the only way to discover a cloaked Khaara presence with the absence of an observation post. . .
The gorge must of been frightened out of it's hiding place as it's body, to put it bluntly, gorged itself full of despicable smelling liquids and discharged it out of it's mouth shooting a redicuously large ball of acid at Lamdeer.
Quickly his jets kicked in and backed off to avoid the threat of the corrosive acids as it casscaded into a liquid form and left a charred spot. . . .
Lamdeer would think of that later as his gauntlet quickly re-adjusted it's weapon mode to it's initial proto type assault rifle, it's weapon slot revealing several barrels to a now wide eyed gorge, and blasted the gorge's body into a blob of soon unrecognizable goo.
Thinking quickly with the aid of his suit Lamdeer concluded that the station had to of been easily overwhelmed, the lack of the mass of Bacteria was the odd thing as gorge's despised destruction of their own creatures and "structures", although several white strands were at ankle level which was quite odd, those webs blocked the left and right corridors.
Grinning to himself Lamdeer concluded to just jump jet over them, safely escaping whatever the touch of those webs could possibly do, reports of them wrapping theirselves around LA as tightly as steel to later strangle them or be quickly fell upon by skulks if so said LA was fortunate.
However, which way was the problem currently as Lamdeer didn't like the thought of being in such an eery, quiet, trapped fill facility with nothing to fight but sneaky gorges and their structures with traps.
Looking at the left side of his HUD a 3D map of the Generator began to reveal that the left area was where the infestation would definitely take place for a new hive location, however, the right showed the control area and computer area, vital to control for if a marine were to enter such a location. . . . .
For once, the stale air was like a fresh breeze of a newly created world, the place would easily be purged now if Lamdeer could get to the control room.
Provided he got through 5 rooms, that ironically seem to be the ideal obstacle course.
Proceeding to his right in the hallway the darkness giving way to his self-maintained light Lamdeer began to make out the next room the corridor connected to, the archway wasn't covered by a door thankfully.
The room itself had a single entity that swallowed the center, it was a giant working bot made to aid heavy construction as it could easily hold several tons with admirable ease, the feckled yellow paint showed it was unused for some time as the room was eerily lit up, there was a door to the far side of the room as Lamdeer peeked around the bot.
"<i>Hur hur hur</i>." that chuckle. . . Lamdeer swirled to his left and discovered a gorge upon a control panel hitting several buttons in quick unison.
"Surely a gorge wasn't intelligent enough." Lamdeer thought quickly even as a rocket began to aim at the panel, though he hesitated as the panel, from this distance, Lamdeer knew how useful it could be if captured.
Instead, he began to switch from his arsenal to a wicked blade that popped out much like a switch blade, it was thin, but it was also well crafted to endure even at a length of 3 feet, it was used for emergency close combat, but he would simply kill the gorge to avoid damaging the panel.
A huummmm of machinery was heard throughout the room as the bot activated, it's spider like form that enabled wall climbing barely let it fully erect itself at an impressive 10 feet tall, the "head" of this bot swirled to the gorge who was pressing more buttons.
Text flew across the bot's in-put screen on it's chest: "Commander Kalar is most pleased that you've arrived Lamdeer, however, it is the Khaara who shall reign surpreme in the end especially when we've fully extracted the capibilities of Ironrock Fortress."
The gorge stopped "typing" as it exploded to the courtesy of a missle launched from Lamdeer, to stop the bot from fully operating to a most unpleasant state.
It was meant not to be.
The construction bot then carried out it's last order: Disassemble the organic designated as Lamdeer.
Alarmed, not shocked, Lamdeer fired off another missle directly at the bot's monitor which happily exploded into fire works even as Lamdeer felt himself leave the ground involunteerily as an arm hurled him like a doll against the right of the room, it then began to swing both for the crushing blow.
Easily dodging the second assault with his jets at a quickly de-accelerating speed, Lamdeer shot off a final missle directly at the head of the bot. It buckled within itself temporarily and swung once more, with violent intent.
The fuel cut short Lamdeer partially was hit but not nearly as badly as the last blow costed him even as he felt a stabbing pain in his chest; best to ignore that for now even as his assault rifles blasted the durable bot's torso.
It then began to shake violently, no longer arms frailing, and then fell completely inanimated to the ground, shaking the floor and causing Lamdeer to nearly fall despite his considerable stability.
However, he knew who this Kalar was. A true foe to be considered even as the dust fell down about him and the AI muttering about internal bleeding, Lamdeer felt a light **** and immediately felt the pain dissipate.
"It appears I have long assignment ahead of me." with that Lamdeer began limping toward the now ruined control panel, the air smelled of twisted and melting metal.

As expected the panel was damaged beyound repair, in fact it was still smoking from the extreme damage inflicted by his rocket and was further rendered useless by the gorge's newly transformed form of matter as it spilled into the charred cracks, however the wreckage sparked briefly and then fully went out obilerating any sort of revival chances.
Giving a kick to the annoying remains and causing the console part of it to fall to the ground and further break with the gorge's goo spilled across the floor in a sickening pool even as Lamdeer wandered about the room, hesitating to proceed due to the lack of communications from his team.
The dusty metal tiled floor boomed back even as Lamdeer's heavy suit thudded heavily down upon it with each step, even as he paced he heard a brief flicker of radio static and then a voice came over it.
"Lamdeer.....report to.......'Rock Fortress....for immediate.............." radio silence followed as brief gun fire followed, it had to be bad if they were retreating to the Fortress where the infestation would be at its worse, but he had his orders and began to go back the way he came from.
Except for the fact the door slammed right before him and quickly was reinforced by several more secret doors.
"Private Lamdeer, this blood fued shall be settled in time, however, I have entertainment coming upon my very door step while you finish up with my gorge squad, call it an exercise course if you will. But, do hurry." the voice clipped with precision in mockery of humanity, it also sounded vaguely familiar. . . even as he looked about him and saw an old speaker in the corner allowing this sort of communication.
With that, the door that led to the unknown opened, the door behind him did not. He could probably get through it quite easily but his curiousity was aroused and he instinctively knew that going back would not be a good idea as the voice probably had a backup plan for such.
With a grimace Lamdeer began to boom across the room, to the unknown and to face this "master mind".

I will begin re-writing fan fiction again later on today after school, I was going to start earlier but due to the site's down time I've just found out it came back up.
**Technical problems yesterday, sorry about that**
As the poorly maintained door began to open outwards in an irritating screeching noise from Lamdeer's gentle touch, he saw that the room was fairly bright although the room's condition was poorly kept, only a few security computers were in here, two doors on opposing sides of possibly a larger dormitory.
A flicker was on one of the monitor's, the other 3 had their screens broken or melted? Lamdeer approached noisily to find that the 3 had in fact melted monitors.
Ignoring the damaged monitors Lamdeer found a single chair sprawled on the ground in an awkward position, and then put it into a suitable, useable position even as he rolled close to the flinkering monitor.
Video 3192: Unknown Name Tag Video 3191: Unknown Name Tag Video 3190: WE NEED HELP NOW!!!....(Video has corrupted information)
Seeing the corrupted video Lamdeer spinned about, and saw what was an easily overlooked object, a hump on the ground covered by fine dust and other obscurities.
Curiously Lamdeer rolled by the hump and kicked off the covering to reveal a grisly arm, what wasn't bitten off was green and putrified, it had only a tad of a green cloth which most likely indictated this city's police force.
Rolling back to the computer in private disgust Lamdeer decided to skip Video 3190. Lamdeer then double clicked Video 3191.

The security camera was currently watching the room Lamdeer was in, skulks littered the room with gorges, even a lerk was broken across a steel suspender above.
That wasn't even the odd thing.
An odd looking fade that seemed bigger, stronger, and simply more epic then any other fades Lamdeer saw was standing on the right side of the room as the left door opened up to pull out skulks that met the other fade's skulks that began ravaging each other.
It was quite an even fight until the fade. . which Lamdeer believed was Kalar that spoke to him over the mic, began to decimate the enemy skulks with well placed acid rockets that didn't decriminate in purging all that was within its splash radias.
Nothing was left, not even one friendly skulk of Kalar even as he began to walk slowly back to the right door, but then looked up upon the camera and grinned.
"This is the fate of all Zxonan." with that Kalar smiled even as he shot acid rockets at all the computers...? Then the monitor went fuzzy in an obnoxious way.
Lamdeer looked upon the monitor, then was curious enough to look at the back side of it. Lamdeer began to turn it about on the dust covered table and saw a few welding points upon it.
"More questions to answer." Lamdeer leaned back in his chair and sighed in frustration, thinking.
