Hard Disk Acoustic Management

<div class="IPBDescription">Need to disable..</div> But ive got no spare cd-r's or floppy disk drive. I run XP. How can I possibly disable this horrid option.     By the sounds of that, I think you should leave it on. What makes you say it hampers the performance of your HDD?

    It slows the seek headers for the sake of silence. Not Cool.

    Sounds like you have to play with your HD's drivers. If they are good drivers then it will be an option you can reach through the device manager.

    If not then you may have to do: registry tweaking, and/or driver command line options.
