Please help!
System Specification:

Windows XP Home Edition (No upgrades)
AMD XP 1900
Geforce 3 Ti 500
Gygabyte Motherboard with on-board sound card (+7VTXE)

Problem:

I don't think the problem is with Natural Selection (Brill mod btw&#33, since it has happened several times with Day of Defeat, I connect to an internet game using All seeing eye and about 20 mins into the game (Sometimes earlier) it crashes and I have to restart.

At first I thought the problem was my Nvidia drivers, I was running the latest (Beta) version 40.** so I downgraded to 28.32 but it happened again

I then tried to add '-nocdaudio' to the HL.exe and even toggled Windows 98 Compatability mode, none of which worked!

Can anyone help me please?

hmmmm i have no idea..... but check all the drivers..... rto 40.42 or whatevr and check sound drivers... is your motherboard via compatible... if so get new via drivers.... even try reinstalling Half-Life.... in the worst case get yourself windows 2000 (it ownz XP )

I used to have that happen - sounds like a heat problem to me.
Take the side of your case off. If that doesn't work, take the side off and put a house fan next to it.
Thats what I do. I tested it one day and it dropped the temp of _just_ my processor more the 50+ degrees Celsius in less than two minutes (used Hardware Moniter in BIOS).
Its a little noisy, but you get used to it quick, and it works great.
