How to play online

I downloaded ns,yet.I tried to find some Online Games , I started HL, chose NS , activated and Filter but i didn`t find some Online Games ,yet.Whats my problem? Do I need an actually patch? plz help me

I've been told there is something screwed up with the desktop icon the installer creates. Delete it and use the one in your start menu.
