<div class="IPBDescription">- i just got an acount, see my list...</div> ok, so there was a reference to rentanime.com in that netflix thread.... so i was looking over their titles, and decided that for $20.00 a month, it's cheaper to get a subscription there, than drive all over, spend $5 a title (if they have the right one) and heck... this is more anime than i've seen in any store (minus the anime store downtown)...

so i figured why not, if it takes a week to get here, that's ~6 DvD's a month... which is just about $30/month if i was going to do the traditional store/rental way... so this is cheaper, and easier...

I predict a very warped Delarosa in a few weeks. Starting off with Wicked City? Thats like experimenting with Crack before you even try caffeine.


Let me tell you why I hate Anime (or at least did for 10-12 years of my life)

The first animes I was shown as a teenager were:

DBZ the movie
Ninja scroll
Wicked City
And some Gundam one.



Needless to say, I almost decided to make it my life's quest to wipe any trace of this Japanese Animation off the face of the Earth.

yea, i'm starying off with wicked city...

yeah, FLCL is very odd, i've seen the first two, but i wanted to review them and see if there were any extras on the DvD that i should know about (i saw then back when they weren't translated, if they were odd in english, they wer even worse in their original language)


any on the list that are bad?

and wiz.. i watched DBZ about 4 times (my best friend was an addict) and i absoultly despise it. i don't know why it was even made... ugh!

FLCL is crazy. But the music, the battles and the great animations are all top notch. It's just that it is a very confusing show. Still, some of the scenes in there were really awesome to watch.

Move FLCL up more, its a funny series. Seems like a very limited list. You should see if they have Berserk and add that to the top of your list. If is by far the best anime series I have seen. Its a very dark story taking place in the dark ages. It follow the story of an unfortunate child found under his mother's dead body as he lives the life as a mercenary. Demons are later introduced, but it has the best character developement I have seen in a long time.

in response to the "move FLCL up" comment... did you notice that i was sent movies from the middle-ish of my list? they aren't in stock at the moment... so why move them up?

i've heard good and bad things about blue sub #6... what is the plot/story/whatever about it?

A scientist makes a race of intelligent aquatic beings, then melts the Earth's icecaps. Humans and this other race battle for control of the Earth, and the plot centers around the crew of Submarine #6 of the Blue fleet. 4-part series, 1 hour long episodes.
