Huge Problem

Ok... I can play ns, but my friend for some reason can't. I downloaded it right, and installed it for him. He can play CS, Source, and all other HL mods but NS. When he pulls up steam and goes to play games, and clicks on NS beta 5, it pulls up the link that you would get if you went to browse games. I have no clue why this happens. Uninstall everything related to Steam, delete the whole Steam folder if it's still there after the uninstall, redownload Steam and NS, reinstall everythiing.

I forgot to say that I had already done that, but o well... here it is, I have already done that. I uninstalled it a re-installed it after re-dling everything 2x. Same problem occured. I dont know if him having XP has anything to do with it. But that is his OS if ya need to know. I even tryed installing steam the the desktop and forcing NS to install there, and still the same thing.

Sounds to me like you may have a CZ cdkey instead of a full HL cdkey. For whatever reason valve chose to limit CZ keys to that mod only.

He recently got a new computer and has not installed CZ yet, so that cant be it. what CD key(s) does he have registered with his steam account

or better yet, tell him to make his own friken acocunt here and post himself.
