Also, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Beyond Good & Evil, and the much less-known Crimson Sea. (not Crimson Skies - they are different games)
Fable.
Ninja Gaiden.
Well, some people suck at writing reviews XD.
The thing about Sudeki is it's like Halo - you either love it, hate it, or you don't really care. I think it's the best RPG since Deus Ex or Fallout. Some probably won't agree with me on that.

Shame you're missing out on hurricane vol 1. and soon enough vol 2.
The chick in Jediyoshis avatar makes me aroused
as for awesome XBOX games, the xbawx has the best Soul Calibur 2 of all the consoles.
1. Halo
2. Halo
3. Halo
4. Halo
5. Halo
Fable (don't recommend buying it, but it looks awesome and has a decent enough story - but not nearly as open as proposed)
Ninja Gaiden (Woot, fun. Extreme Fun. I love those bosses)
KotOR (if you missed out when it came out and still haven't gotten around to the PC version)
Full Spectrum Warrior (it's fun for a pretty long while. It's supposedly much better over Xbox live, but I don't have Xbox live, so I couldn't tell you).
Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow (if you have XBox live...otherwise: the split screen co-op is pretty nice too)
Halo (Co-Op r0x0rs your b0x0rs...even if it's repetitive level design - if you're playing with your friends you shouldn't really care - and it's fun anyway)
Morrowind:GOTY (if you didn't get around to the PC version)
GTA Double Pack ( if you didn't get around to the PS2 versions)
Prince of Persia (apparently it's awesome and I'm the only one that thinks it's annoying and crap)
Panzer Dragoon Orta ( Never played it, but people seem to like it enough)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance (I never really got much out of the bonus stuff, but it's good enough, worth playing if you haven't before)
Ghost Recon/Ghost Recon: Island Thunder ($20 bucks, so . Anyway, Co-op is always nice, plus Xbox live seems to still hold the high with popularity)
Games probably best avoided:
Sudeki (if you like a completely linear story with minimal story and minimal character development with poor voice acting and (at least to me) annoying visual flairs, go for it)
Mechassault (it's only good with Xbox live, but there's some people who live by it. It just seems to simplified from Mechwarrior to me - without enough action to back up the simplification)
Jet Grind Radio (or whatever the hell it's called - I hate it. Some people like it though, I'd suppose it's the music, but I don't really like that either. Feel free to put this in either list)
Driver 3 (buggy as hell, Drive-three-er looks good but plays pretty poorly)
Recommended Buys:
Halo (if you've got a friend, co-op can entertain you for awhile, of if you get Xbox Connect)
Ninja Gaiden (if I had Xbox Live I'd have gotten around to buying it by now...too bad the new school gamers seem to have way to much trouble with it.
[recommendation: play Mega Man 2 on NES - I guarantee you'll do much better than you did 10 years ago; as an example]
Ghost Recon (as stated above, $20 wont get you too wrong)
KotOR (if you don't have the PC version, and you don't mind the 'Carth Bug' - which isn't that big, but whatever)
Soul Calibur 2/Dead or Alive 3/Dead or Alive Ultimate (not out yet) (if you like fighting games. I'm considering getting around to SC2...but I hate every fighting game I've ever played besides Soul Calibur on my DC (if you have a DC version of Dino Crisis ...aha, DC on DC!... send it my way ).)
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (also known as: Tom Clancy's: Splinter Cell: Attack of the colons; fun with Xbox live, PC version probably work out better for you, except it's a bit more immersive with the headset....nice either way)
Fable (you can beat it in 12 hours, but you're guaranteed to at least play it twice - and my philosophy is $2 an hour for an Action RPG isn't too bad)
DoA:XBV works for the psuedo-porn/gambling/half-assed volleyball game.
Hunter the Reckoning (1 or 2) is worth a rent if you've got 2-3 friends around; as is Conflict Desert Storm (1 or 2 - thought 2 is about 25% the length of 1).
Almost anything that's on PS2 without being Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts is on Xbox...so just pick something out of there too (Dynasty Warriors 4 is alright, along with Baldurs Gate and stuff.
...you know, Gun Valkyrie was alright too. You can probably find that pretty cheap nowadays...it had a hardness factor almost associatable with Ninja Gaiden.
Game coming out soon:
Jade Empire
KotOR 2
Halo 2
Xmen Legends
[some RPG I forget the name of]
Not sure if that exactly fulfills the requirements of the thread's purpose, but there you go. I've probably missed a few, but that would do anyone actually looking into Xbox games.
Ninja Gaiden, Fable and Halo (...2) are probably the pure winnings on the Xbox. You're bound to have fun with them if you like the genre. That'd be the generalized genres of Action, RPG and Shooter. Sports games also abound...there's like 4 football games...pluse the good ESPN 2k5 one is $20 (as is the hockey one, I believe).
I especially found it odd that they don't even bother to tell you how to attack or defend before the first enemies show up (without warning, none the less). Or, in fact, at all. Granted, anyone with the intelligence of a button-pushing ape could figure it out, it's just odd.
Buy it though.

Halo would have been the best game ever if it wasn't for the repetitive level design here and there. Each weapon(except pistol- duh!) felt like power in your hand. Controls were intuitive, genious even. Graphics were great. Enemy AI hasn't been topped since. Animations were absolutely jaw dropping. And the story was damned good too(if you read the books, even better!)!
For me, on XBox, it goes:
(and a 6 just for it: Prince of Persia. Fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun)
5. Fable
4. Need for Speed: Underground
3. Dead or Alive 3(and soon ultimate, which will put this in #1 spot, passing Halo 2 up)
2. Halo(and soon 2)
1. Ninja Gaiden
1. Fable
2. KOTOR
3. Ninja Gaiden
4. Burnout 3 (must buy)
5. Halo

I do. Not only was it the funniest game ever released, it had a kickass multiplayer. Ctf, single map, get mowed down by machine gun turrets, chainguns, magnums... i just loved going into the squirrel base and walking up the spiral stairs only to have met my demise by about 7 magnums.

It's really fun if you're playing with your friends in co-op mode. You people need to gather a friend and play through it. Then the only level that's kind of boring is the Library since that looks the same no matter where you are (at least others that are repetitive have some differences - except the library).
That and multiplayer, multiplayer can be really fun. Plus it had some randomness too. Singleplayer was really only made fun by AI.
Considering that, if you don't have friends/family around: Ninja Gaiden, KotOR and Fable are around for people that don't have Xbox live or people to play with .
