Glad to hear you're safe, that should always be your #1 priority. I've been in the situation a few times before here in sunny Manchester (home of the scum) and I've found myself giving various reactions, everything from having meekly obliged to giving the scoundrel the kicking he deserves upon my refusal.
However satisfying that was though, I'd never reccomend it. While you feel better in that maybe next time, the cheeky little b*stage will think twice before harassing a random other member of society, it isn't a road anyone should want to go down.
