First of all, we have to show this teaser from a piece of art that <b>Chase
</b> is working on for us! This will be a lot bigger and we will show it off once it's done!

    Until Valve produces something vaguely SDK-ish, I shall refer to HL2 mods as "collections of nice models" or, for the majority, "a buch of high poly berettas". This one is in the "nice model" category thankfully.     Renders? Joy. Ingame models are never that detailed in HL mods, and a jillion halfarsed, never-going-to-be-finished mods put out shiny renders such as those.

    I'm not trying to draw a connection between shiny renders and halfarsedness, I'm just saying that shiny renders aren't any indication of progress.

    The sound clip sounds nice...makes me wish I could be seeing it.


    ...Except the beginning with the rotor startup and loading of clips goes on forever (although I suppose would work as opening credits or something). Makes me wonder if you've acquired the rights to use Johnny B. Good, too <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> .


    On that note, footsteps sound a bit loud compared to the gunfire around. That and some of the talking is a bit quiet. Still, it sounds like something that would be awesome to see.




    ...and Berettas are common in mods because they're used by a lot of militaries. Plus there's quite a few variants and they don't really look that similar. The:

    Or you can even break out the non-military issue Berettas (which aren't featured quite so prominantly in games):

    As already mentioned the models are lovely and I like your artwork. Very pretty and cool =3

    Problem is that until i see some actual running gameplay I'm kinda just gonna forget about it probably. (I hope you have a coder... I've already seen a few teams without one that seem to think the game will magically make itself because they have models and artwork)
