Evil Quicktime Problem
<div class="IPBDescription">mov files playing... oddly.</div> Having a major quicktime problem at the moment.
Basically what happens is, any quicktime file I open WILL play normally. It runs through the audio properly, correcting timing... the only problem is that the video stuffs up.
For instance, the Nintendo DS Touch commericial will play properly (audio/video/timing) for the first few seconds, and then the video freezes... and starts up again right at the end of the clip.
It is always a constant failure in the way that the video stops playing. Not a random occurence. (IE I can play the Nintendo DS commericial as many times as I want and reproduce the same error, but it differs from file to file)
I run Quicktime files through Media Player Classic.
I have PROPER UP TO DATE CODECS for EVERYTHING. So we can rule out User Error to begin with.
The odd thing is that when I view a trailer online though something like apple.com/trailers the quicktime file plays PERFECTLY, but when I save that EXACT same file to my HDD and play it I get the video error....
If anybody can help me out with this, I'd greatly appreciate it.
One avenue that may help is that Media Player Classic allows the alteration of the way videos are rendered. So you can render it in DX7, DX9 or Default.
(View -> Options -> Playback -> Output)
If I change it... it changes the error in the file, but again the error is costant and reproducable.
So really nfi what is going on... and I need help.
