You guys must be sick of these...
As some of you may have noticed, I've been asking the NS community about some computer parts over the last few months. Well, for the most part I've finished selecting parts for my first masterpiece, there are just a few left that I need some help with.

Other than that it's one hell of a system.

Also, that video card comes in both flavors.
I am building this so I can play Doom 3 (almost), Half-Life 2, Far Cry, and probably STALKER at maximum settings with at least 60 FPS at all times.

only nubs use other providers besides newegg
kekeke
Powersupply? Enermax for the win.
Umm... Microphone... I have no idea, i think some from sennheiser (if they have any desktop models). A good Headset beats all Speaker combos .

You might want to look into a turtle beach card..
The difference between the 3800+ and the FX53 is negligible (3-5% most cases) and FX-53s don't OC well (even with their unlocked multiplier), so there's no point.
Second, I would advise you to wait for the 90 nm based Athlon 64s, which offer much higher overclocking potential, and even better performance at stock speed. Also, wait for the DFI LAN Party UT, as it is hands down, THE best overclocking motherboard for the A64 line (DDR600+ on 754). The 90 nm chips are slated for release before the end of this year, just wait a little bit longer.
Wow, an X800XT-PE for only 500? Lucky blastard.
Edit: I hope you aren't planning on RAID 0ing so you got those raptors, as they don't offer any performance increases on a desktop solution.
2 gigs of Kingston HyperX? Hahhahahahahhahahahahahahhhhahahahahahahahahahha.
You already have top of the line stuff, why settle for HyperX? Go for OCZ 3700 EB plus the OCZ memory diagnostic booster, you'll be achieving DDR600+ on air.
Make sure you also get a quality heatsink. I recommend getting a massive Antec 120mm fan (Only 30 dba plus 70 CFM) coupled with a Thermalright XP120. Best A64 cooling solution (air) out there right now.
Edit2:
Since you're practically going full throttle on this system, I would recommend the OCZ Powerstream 520 watt PSU. It costs 150 (I know) USD, but it will handle ANYTHING you throw at it (unless you're talking quad opterons with a 6x SCSI RAID 5 array with SLI 6800 ultras). I
Don't listen to all these negative comments it's a great PC and you chose a good base by going with the 939-socket will open door to upgradability no pci-e is not so bad.
GJ man your PC should kick ****.

This from a man building $3000 PC?

Thanks for the advice Rapier7, and no I was not planning on a RAID-0 config. I might just get a 7,200RPM 200GB HDD instead if the other parts cost more than I expect. When are the new processors and mobo coming out - I can't even order until the last week of October, so if they'll only be a bit longer I might as well wait (especially with Halo 2 and Echoes coming out, they'll keep me busy). I might go for that better RAM, but maybe just 2 sticks of it depending on price.
Lian Li PC-V1000
Antec P160
Both are really nice, stylish and practical. Unfortunately, i couldn't get an Athlon 3800+ (my personal fave) at a low enough price so I'm getting a P4 3.6 which needs side vents, something only certain cases have. Still, mine is Ok and by the time I've finished with it will look just as pretty.
* Antec SLK260 Black chassis With 350W PSU
* Intel D925XCVLK 775LGA Motherboard
* Intel Pentium 4 560 3.6Ghz 800MHz 775LGA Processor with 1mb Cache1
* 1gb 533 DDR2 Memory
* ATI X300SE 128mb PCI Express Graphics card (cheap for PCI, will upgrade in 6 months)
* Seagate 160Gb SATA2 Hard Drive
* Illyama MST1451 19” CRT Monitor (I don't want any ghosting and price difference is massive, might get a small TFT for Lan Parties later)
* 16x DVD Rom
* 52x32x52 CD-RW Drive
* Microsoft Natural Multimedia PS2 Keyboard (I like the natural series tho couldn't get the original so had to settle for the multimedia, don't like all those extra buttons).
* Logitech MX510 Mouse

Creative sucks you see. Find a new soundcard.
Maybe it's my headphones?
If you do get another sound card, try this. Its also quite a bit cheaper.

$7.50 sound card.
But I never paid much attention to the sound to begin with.
