<div class="IPBDescription">A variation on the readyroom concept</div>I've been tooling around in Worldcraft lately (I've never had the patience to build entire maps, so usually I just make chunks of maps and leave them floating around in an .rmf or .map file and give them to someone else to finish) and I had an idea for a variation on the readyroom concept. Basically, I'm using a combination of Wally and winBSP to snag a part of an original half-life level (a bathroom) and make that into the readyroom. When you spawn, you're in a small lobby-like area, with some wooden benches and a couple potted plants, a soda machine, and two doors with those simple restroom signs on them- except, one (the "men" one) says "Marines" and the other, with a new drawing that I made, says "Aliens". The door opens, and there's the bathroom, and each urinal and each toilet is an info_join_team. Neat, huh?
In the lobby, there's also a door that says "Authorized Personell only" with a sign over it designating it for observers, and another door for automatic team selection. I haven't decided on the design for that one yet.
Which brings me to the point of this post.

[EDIT: I'd be interested in the .rmf, seeing as how I haven't even started the readyroom yet. I'm generally on the IRC channel all the time (when Im not in class), or you could email it to me -Jac]
Think about how uptight you have to be about planes and clipnodes and all that with just your map alone, but add a ready room with toilets, and urinals, and you will be way beyond the limits. Maybe if someone made them by .mdls, then it would be interesting, but if not, I'd pick a different way.
Anyway it would be coll but then again there are lots of other cool ideas out there that are easier to do.

you didn't read my entire post. I'm borrowing(stealing) the bathroom from the first part of original half-life. I don't actually have to make the toilets myself.
There are ways to make toilets low-poly, but the ones from the HL SP bathrooms arent very good examples of this.
I still like the idea of a restroom readyroom.
you guys were right about the highpoly stuff from the HL SP maps, so I kept the bathroom's original layout and snagged the toilet from cs_militia. You know, the one that has the exploding poop in it. I probably won't have the exploding poop in the ns one, though. we'll see.
