One reason aliens 'suck'

Now granted, I feel that there are some problems with the turret balance (human turrets are tougher, unlimited, better tracking, more damage per secong, but cost the same?!<!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->. However, there is another problem. Many aliens aren't upgrading properly. Many games, I have to evolve into gorge (even though we already have 1 or 2) just to build an upgrade chamber OR THE EXTRA CHAMBERS needed to get higher level upgrades. People don't seem to realize that a level 3 upgrade is much better then a level 1 upgrade! Now this may be obvious here on the message board, but apparently it's not in game because I *often* see only one upgrade chamber per type.

I hope to see the day where aliens actually have a chance of winning without having to rush the CC at the start of the game.

I have a question though.... if you loose a chamber does already evolved aliens loose their abilities? I know they loose the upgrades but can theyloose their ability totally?
I like the aliens; if the alien team knows what it's doing they can totally thrash the marines (if the teams are of equal number or near equal number). I've played several games which have gone on for some time to see the aliens eventually come out on top. It's been fun: close fighting over that pair of resource nozzles on ns_bast (I think it was bast, anyway. In the holoroom). The marines would take it, then the aliens would come back, then the marines again. It seemed pretty balanced to me.
Just a thought.
that is if you have lvl.2 cloak and your chambers is busted down to one then you loose one lvl. and end on lvl. 1 right?(I think I saw this...but I'm not sure)
-Upgrades get stronger or weaker when new chambers are build or destroyed, even if already bought.
-If all chambers are destroyed, you'll lose the ability tied to them.
-You can have one type of upgrade chamber per hive.
-Upgrade chambers won't be destroyed if the supporting hive dies, you can't build new ones, though.
-You can have all upgrades, even if all hives are dead, as long as the chambers are still alive.
I find it somewhat useful to build backup towers in hiding places such as shafts, in case the hive that supports the towers dies).
If you see your team not building more than one chamber of one type there are 3 possibility's:
1. They don't have enough resources.
2. They are concentrating on other buildings.
3. They are new to the game and don't know the game mechanics too well. A simple "Please build 2 more chamber X for upgrades" seemed to solve this problem in most cases.
