Webs And Gls In Combat

If you've played combat recently, you'll have noticed that almost half the marines get GLs by the end of the game. I tried battlegorging a while ago and noticed that my webs were almost useless. There is so much nade spam that webs die before they work. The only time I am able to web effectively is stopping the first couple of marines with JPs from killing the hive. But later, so many people have nades that it really isn't work 2 points to get webs.

Play on smaller servers where you cant have 5 gls 5 hmgs and 5sgs.

Two GLs is plenty to prevent webs from being effective.

Lerks (and skulks, which I think are better for the job) cannot really go into the swath of explosions to kill the jper. You have to use focus fades to swat the little buggers down, and that is more challenging (and point-expensive) because of the weapon switch delay off of blink.

There is no realistic way to stop this right now. GL-JPs are their own counter-counter.
