Weird, Connection Problem.

<div class="IPBDescription">would like some tech. help</div> Well, my wireless connections act pretty weird.

When trying to play Call of Duty and Steam game, they show me that I should get 30-70 ping. But when I enter the game, the actual ping I got was 200-350 and rubberbanding.

What can possibly cause this phenomenon? It's driving me crazy. Back to MMORPG and Single player game until I get this fixed.

Stupid question, but what is your rate set to?

Set it to 20000.

Yeah steam tends to reset your rate from 9000-20000 (broadband rates) down to 2500 which is a rate for dialup 14.4k-56k

This also happens to Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, and Empire Earth too, not just steam.

Electronic interfereance would do this, is there a TV or other electronic device near the router
