    you can cvreate fog with the env_for, only for opengl users :/
    But the fog messes up stuff with the sprites, go test teh welder in a foggy area.

    [EDIT] Gah!! you beat me to it <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    First off....sprites currently dont work correctly in the env_fog entity.
    And second if you want to have rain in your map, i would strongly suggest using the particle system, much much better.
    For fog i would suggest either a) not using fog <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> or b) using carefully placed sprites to simulate fog.
    Thats untill (if) the fog entity can be fixed.

    Bah...i really don't know... I'm not going to play around too much with all the fancy-pants fog/rain/steam/flowerbed effects in my first map.

    Wow.

    That was probably the fastest response on a forum Ive ever seen.

    I guess ill try to use the particle system.
    Ill go look for the tutorial now.

    Thanks.

    I am responding to that just for the sake of doing so.

    I -think- the trick to do fog with sprites (so that you A. Don't have that horrible line and B. Have fog that EVERYONE sees, not just OpenGL users) is to use the env_sprite thing to do a fog sprite (I believe it's just this grey circle really really large) every 64 or 128 units on a very VERY low transparency.

    Just a question though... why are you using env_beam with sprites to do rain? Why not the particle system? That's a MUCH more realistic way of doing rain.
