<div class="IPBDescription">wip for sprite?!!! OMG!</div> Heh, I feel a little foolish making a wip for this sprite I'm making, but I think it's going to take me a while, and I need opinions and suggestions. Tell me what you guys think...
Need ideas for:
Caraspace
Celerity
Adrenaline (Pictured, not very good)
Silence
Focus
Scent of Fear (This one needs changing... looks like it uses the advanced hive site sprite)
The background colors are:
Defense: Green
Movement: Black
Sensory: Purple

Celerity, I would think a skulk with a heavy motion blur would suffice.

mirrodin, I don't want to use any old stuff, I'm aiming to make it 100% original.
Actually you can shade the upgrade icons....the one within the circle, just don't shade the background it lies on. Makes it look like rubber or plastic.

Alright, I took out that light shadding on the background, now it only shades dark. When I make some more, I'll compile it and update the screenshot.
Carapace: Reworked version of the current cara icon (it's good)
Celerity: Alien with a blur trail
Adrenaline: Alien with veins popping out, bulging eyes?
Focus: Marine silhouette with everything around the marine blurred?
Is it clear to you what's in the picture?
Scent of fear: Marine torso with heart glowing red, or something red about the marine indicating quick pulse, flush of fear (like they are detecting his heartbeat racing)
Here's the current state, nearing completion. I caved in on the caraspace... but I still have problems. I think the SOF and Focus are too alike... and need a replacement for adrenaline and silence.
Might be best to replace the focus.
Edit: Don't mind the stuff that leaks outa the circle, won't be like that in final version.
Redemption needs...something else. the hive looks too pixellated, maybe a sillhoette (though you've done that already) or an outline of a hive around a skulk? Also, the regen sprite is a little plasticy- maybe it's too rounded I think, makes it look like rubber. As for focus, i think keeping what you have now is fine, just put blue slashes diagonally through the centre of it (like it's being torn asunder- or maybe even slashes like wolverine's claws make in x-men <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->)
Hrmm...adrenaline...i'm thinking maybe a skulk glowing yellow, or yellow 'waves' (ie. soundwaves) coming from it, to depict it exuding energy.
As for silence..this one's a tricky one...anyone else have any bright ideas?
Also i think the background colours of the DC and MC chamber need to be a little more distinguished (as the SC is from the other two)

*edit* Oh also, just looking at the scent of fear sprite some more, maybe have some streaks or lines coming out from the glowing heart (just to break up the sillhoette a bit)
hm first thing i think of when i hear focus is skulk jaws coming for my face
maybe do skulk teeth or something?

Make silence a skulk foot touching an imaginary floor, and the imaginary floor ripples.
And make the background on the MC sprites a bit darker. It's a bit hard to distinguish between DC and MC upgrades. Unless colour restrictions are in o_O
I changed the backdrop colors for the movement upgrades to yellow... figures, you know movement chambers give ya energy, and energy is usually associated with yelllow...
Make every ugprade type have a different background color. (I mean sensory/movement/defense, right now movement and def have the same)
