<div class="IPBDescription">first model I ever made</div> Started modeling in 3ds-max today and found myself <a href='http://www.fh-worms.de/~inf126/tutorials/lowpolymodeling/index.html' target='_blank'>this mp5-k tutorial</a>. Now a mp5-k isnt a glock-18c, but I though I could use the examples to create my favorite gun... I didnt smooth it btw since it looks weird if I do that <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

One thing i'd suggest watching is <a href='http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~polycount/ubb/Forum8/HTML/004014.html?00002' target='_blank'>this VTM</a>. Sure, it's quite a big download and runs for a few hours, but i found a lot of it exceptionally useful in learning to model low poly weapons in 3ds, and as a product of that i made <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=80819&hl=sigma' target='_blank'>this model</a>, which isn't bad for my first go. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
<a href='http://www.xenosgames.com/LowPolyGun.htm' target='_blank'>http://www.xenosgames.com/LowPolyGun.htm</a> (the site has more tutorials btw)
Lets hope that one does the trick in explaining to me what I'm doing wrong <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
kouji your off to a good start showing potential (spelling?) but a few things
1) glocks have slides so dont make it all one piece something needs to be able to move back when firing
2) work on adding details like curving the edges of the slides (just because the glock has a blocky slide doesnt mean its a a straight edge like that its slightly rounded)
3) keep practicing and doing tutorials im sure youll get much better <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
@ chrono
Thanks for the tips. This model actually has a seperate slide only its only visible if I smooth it but then it looks weird :\
