i am a noob from Germany ... my english is very bad ! but, my question is ...

how i cant abourt the sound wave "live born under atack", i dont like them ... every secound i listen "LIVE BORN UNDER ATACK" .. OMG ... need help =(

"Lifeform under attack" = teammate in trouble, find the red flashy hivesight indicator and run to it.

not true, you can find the sound file for it, it's somewhere in ns/sounds <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> open it, silence it/reduce it and voila! no annoying lifeform under attack

Note: if constanty is enebled you can't join that server (not many servers have it)

I couldn't actually find any of the hive sounds in my sound folder, it's strange :s

I think that it would be compiled in the .gcf files, wouldn't it? So you can't really changed it

Been through this before, but it sounds more like "Hive porn under attack!" <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

And yeh, I suppose its in the .gcf - you can overwrite it by placing another sound in the appropriate folder, I assume.

Given that it's not an official Steam Halflife mod, NS doesn't have a gcf.

can you not record a blank sound, then delete the existing sound, such as "Life forms under attack" to a blank sound that you recorded such as i have done with some custom server sawndez.
