<div class="IPBDescription">read on</div> Well as far as i read the 4mb texture limit is only apliable for software mode. But since software mode was banned due to exploits from ns. Wouldn´t it be possible to use more than 4mb of textures in maps.
So it's ok to use more than 4MB right? Cauz I just finished my ready room and it says 2.5MB of textures used. For the rest of the map, I'll use the same textures that I used for the ready room with only few new textures.
For official maps the standard is 4mb. It's okay to exceed this since most people that still play Half-Life have graphic cards that have atleast 16mb of onboard memory.
using lots of those 256x256 textures will increase the count(of course) and especially if you scale up textures.
