Steam Says My Cd Key Isnt Mine...

I get this lovely message

You have been disconnected from the server.
Reason: Error verifying STEAM User ID Ticket (Server was unable to
contact the authorization server, 35)

Ive gotten this before no problem
meh so I log out of steam and log back in. Now when ever I try to connect to a server I get this all the time.

Steam Error
Invalid user/CD Key

I tried doing that thing where you can change your key in steam. didnt work.

Im using MY copy of HL, and i dont give out my CD key to anyone.

What should i do?

i really hope I dont have to go out and buy another copy of HL because steam is retarded...

    I'd say take it up with valve, they might have suspended your key by accident or something.

    You may have to bump it back a few times. Maybe 1-3 before anyone cares or sees it and help.

    Log-Out, then log back in, that should fix the problem. I've got that error several times and the above works for me.

    same thing happened to me they told me i had no way of proving it was mine (even tho i emailed the valve guy many pics of my jewel case) i ended up buying a new half life

    Then just a while ago I decided well hell, might as well log out and try again one last time...

    And it worked ok.

    i know of this it i also know it takes up to 6 months for them to reply that the even RECIEVED it

    i would rather spend $5-$10 more and just buy a new half life and save 6 months
