I need a tool.
I don't know how you guys feel about this, but I've got a lot of files in a lot of folders (if anyone says "My Documents," I'll slay you. ) and it's a real pain opening up one file from one folder, then needing to open a file from another folder and having it default to the folder you were just in. It's annoying typing in the path (unless you keep all your folders on the drive root, hehe) and it's annoying navigating to it, and I always manage to accidentally click that little "New Folder" button instead of the "up one level" button. Grrr...
Somebody needs to tack on a little thing to the windows open file dialog (the one with the little icons on the left) that includes a 'most used folders' thing, where you can add the folders you use most often so you can get to them with as little as two clicks - one to select that option, and one to select the destination folder.
Alternatively, if someone can get a plugin type thing that lets you use a windows explorer-style directory tree in the open/save dialog, you'd be my best buddy. Get to work!
That is all. Well, not really, I have another new post to make, too. Bwuahaha.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure you know about this, but you can have a windows explorer-style directory tree by typing 'explorer' in Start > Run

Then just click the "My documents" icon in the open/save dialog and select the bookmark you want... it jumps the dialog to that dir.
At least... if I rememebr correctly.
You'd need to set the file type to all files as well... ok so maybe it's not such a good idea.
-ed.. oh... after testing it you don't need to set it for all files, folders and shortcuts show up fine.
Then, voila! Your file open/save dialog now contains the folders that you will use, not what XP decides you should use.
Sarcasm is all well and good, but if you're going to be an ****, at least be an **** on the subject at hand.
(I mean that in a nice jabby way, not a mean way, by the way. )
