What is the exploision sprite? The one who is in front of buttons, closed doors and things? The <img src='http://www.home.no/jorg40/ssda.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    If you shoot the welder weapon at it, candy comes out of the vent/door/whatever.

    What's even cooler is that if you press c and look at the minimap, the areas with the small yellow star represents candy stations where you can shoot welders at the icon.

    That indicates that the marines can use a welder at that point to do something. What it does depends on the map. In most cases it will open or close doors or vents. A better and more updated manual is in the works and will hopefully be released soon so that little questions like this can be answered more easily.
