Loss Spikes

amd xp 2600+ running @ 1.14ghz
geforce fx 5600 and sb audigy 2 zs
xp pro sp1
1024x768 openGL
ok im running net_graph 3 and im getting loss spikes up to high 20's
my cl_cmdrate is 50, rate 25000, cl_updaterate 50, and cl_cmdbackup 2
this didnt start happening until beta 5 and i have tried uninstall and reinstalling steam and b5....
ive also checked w/ my isp and they tell me my connection and modem are fine...
i connect through a wireless router and even the tech support there assure me that the router is fine ( i have even tried tweaking things for router connection w/ tech support)
any suggestions?
