think about it: the Yankees are like the United States of major league baseball- moreover, like the United States' military. of course it's not fair.

I just don't get it. I have been to so many baseball games here for the Texas Rangers because my mom would get free Tickets when she worked for KERA (our PBS station). And every time, I watch like the 4 rows above me and the 4 rows below me pull out their Gameboys and play and ignore the game, myself included, to avoid the level of boredom that would cause manic depression. How can you guys be so enthusiastic about such a thing. Are the games over there... fun...?

No, but I like cheering on for my smoggy city.

To be quite honest, I can't stand baseball, its much too slow. I need something fast like Hockey or Lacrosse to keep my attention.

I haven't been to a baseball game in probably more than a decade. Haven't watch one on TV in months, if not years. The Sox, though... they just sort of transcend that whole thing. I mean come on... I'm from NEW ENGLAND.

That said, I'm surprised live games are so boring for you... in my memory, the live games were always the exciting way to watch baseball - as opposed to watching it on TV.
• Cold_NiTeCold_NiTe Join Date: 2003-09-15 Member: 20875Members
No man, the live games are baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. Really really baad. And I used to go a lot too.

ooh I forgot to add, when is the last time you saw a game when the Riot police stormed the field?

lol I cant wait to see what happens in game 7 if the yankees lose on their own turf and breaking the ol curse.

The last time I was at a baseball game (I was like 10), I waited for 2 hours in the rain to get an autograph by Barry Bonds. He didn't sign one thing for anyone. Since then, I've despised professional sports and especially baseball.

Man, that play by A-Rod really **** me off. It was just way too blatant. Scumbag Yanks or no, I'm suprised they would drop to that level. I'm glad the umps made the right call, though.

Go go Red Sox!

Schilling is the fscking man. Mofo goes out there and throws seven innings on that ankle, giving up only one run? Hells ya! Bellhorn even redeemed himself with that three-run shot. A-Rod is a little ****, slapping at Arroyo like that. He needs to save his slapping for Jeter, who we all know loves it.

I was pleasantly surprised at the umps. Normally they can't call anything right, but they made good calls all night. Especially with the glove slap.

Game 7 tonight, biznitches. Yankees are dead.

Bottom of the 9th. Score is 4 vs 2 Red Sox.

Guys on 1st and 2nd bases, and the man batting is at 3 and 2.

Homerun would win the game.... and the pitch!

And the Red Sox win *fake enthusiasm*.

i burst out laughing when i saw him do that, he looked like a sissy slapping at arroyo's arm. play of the day, definitely.

I could understand if he accidentally hit his arm if he was maintaing the standard 'arm pumping' you do when you run / jog, but that was just friggin blatant and stupid.
