um, how much are ores actually worth? people have offered to buy them at pretty high prices (about 4-8x as much as you get at the store), but i wonder if i'm getting jacked.
welll... you might've noticed a few NPCs around offering to give you stuff. What they do is craft items for you using those ores and leathers and stuff. Most crafted items <b>cannot</b> be bought in stores so they're usually sought after by most =3
ores can be refined into materials, and materials can be used to make various equiptment. Each town has some stuff it can make, which is naturally connected with what job you can get in it. eg. Staff and wands in Ellinia, bows in that wierdo bowtown and so on.

Oh yeah, I remember you talking about that guy. I'm fer hoping that he's just using scrolls to boost his abilities. Maybe you should buy some too, to get your steel faster. If he really his hacking that, then shame on him, where is the fun in that. I said it before and I'll say it again, the reason these RPG's are MMO is because they are social games. People who just go around leveling by themselves WILL be bored for the most part; there are of course exceptions.
--------- GWAHIR!!! Come <i>on</i> you waaay better than that. Here you are making the same nublar mistake I did. Save some of your Attribute Points at all times, just in case. If you spend them all as soon as you get them, then when you find out that you don't meet a requirement of some kind, you can't immediately dump the extra points in and meet the requirement...
You better not pull that when you hit level 30 and want to take your next job advancement... That would be killer. Go save your attribute points; I COMMAND THEE!

Oh and someone needs to give Nexon a kick to the head and tell them that if a player at any time feels that something is the games fault and its not just him being unable to do it better, then there is a problem.

Well, I decided to give this game a try. I have a lvl 10 bowman in mage town, and my name's Greedo386.
The game seems interesting, but I've already hit a plateau where leveling seems to take forever, and it's still the first day. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> I can easily see myself getting bored of this within a couple days (which is good. I shouldn't be wasting my time with MMOs)

but yes - the level grind is bonebreakingly brutal. if it weren't for the incentives of the skills-to-come, I'd have ditched the game already.
To be honest if you can find something to aim for the game's reaally addictive. Along that vein they seriously need more quests but it's actually pretty early beta with this not being started all that long ago so I guess there's lots to come. What's open at the moment doesn't even amount to half the game, barely even quarter =o
edit: note: 3d takes a heck of a lot more time and you can count me out if you want 3d.
Second: if 2d, targeting system? I was thinking something along the lines of that 2d side rendered game with the guns and articulated figures... can't remember the name, several of you still play it probably (had that mode with the bow and arrow that would kill in one hit)
Comments
if you are desperate, sell some ores.
oh, and as a note, both Thansal, and Thael will be online ALOT the next 2 days as my weekend is here! (well, after this 9 hr work day it will be here)
